Mary Joiner'S Chocolate Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 c. Crisco oil
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. cake flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco oil.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add flour mixture and milk.
    Alternate, beginning with flour and ending with flour.
    Add vanilla.
    Makes 8 to 10 layers.
    Put 4 tablespoon of batter to each pan.
    Bake, but just until layers are dry, but not brown.
    Ice with Chocolate Icing.
