"Straight A" Norwegian Apple Kake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 6 to 7 tart apples, sliced and cooked with sugar to taste (do not cook until mushy)
    1 stick butter or margarine (soft but not melted)
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. unbleached flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Grease 9-inch spring-form pan and set oven at 350\u00b0.
    Combine butter, sugar, eggs, flour and baking powder. Mix with hands to form a ball of dough.
    Dough will be stiff.
    Chill dough about 15 minutes before rolling out.
    Roll chilled dough into a circle large enough to fit the bottom of the spring-form pan and 1/4 up sides of pan.
    (Save remaining dough.)
    Line pan with dough.
    Fill with cooked apples.
