Hasty Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated cornmeal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Make a paste of the cornmeal and cold water, stirring frequently until there are no more lumps and pour gradually into the salted boiling water. Place in a double boiler and cook from 2 to 3 hours, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Serve hot with sugar and milk or as desired.
