Lemon Extract Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or oleo
    2 1/3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/4 lb. candied pineapple
    1/4 lb. white raisins
    3 oz. lemon extract
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. candied cherries (green and red)
    4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs (one at a time), beating well after each.
    Add lemon extract and blend.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
    Add fruit and nuts.
    Bake in loaf pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or in a tube pan 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    I prefer to use a tube pan.
    Needs to be made a week or so ahead.
