Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can Angel Flake coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar and beat until smooth.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour batter into greased, floured oblong pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until cake is done.
    Cool and top with this frosting.
