Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. 100% bran
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. All Bran
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1 c. Crisco
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/4 c. very warm water
1/2 c. dry skim milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. oil
1 egg
4 c. flour
Preparation

Mix the yeast, dry milk, sugar and salt with 2 cups of flour. Add the water and mix well.
Add egg and cooking oil and beat until smooth.
Stir in the remaining flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth and satiny. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and turn to coat completely.
Cover and let rise until doubled.
