Baked Luncheon Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices white bread
    2 c. grated sharp cheese
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. grated baked ham (may use sliced ham and cheese)
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Make
    sandwiches
    by
    placing
    1/4
    cup
    ham and 1/2 cup cheese or 1 slice ham and 1 slice cheese between 2 slices bread for
    each
    sandwich.
    Arrange close together in buttered baking dish.
    Cut\teach half diagonally if desired.
    Beat egg and milk together;
    pour
    over
    sandwiches.\tLet
    stand
    in refrigerator overnight.\tBake
    in
    325\u00b0\toven for 1 hour until golden brown. Remove
    from
    oven 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
    Serve with rich cream sauce with mushrooms and a dash of Worcestershire if desired.
    Top
    with
    paprika and a sprig of parsley if desired. Yield: 4 sandwiches or 8 halves.
