Tuna Croquettes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stack pack crackers
    2 (7 oz.) cans tuna, drained and flaked
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup (can substitute other cream soups)
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    Nabisco cracker meal
    6 to 8 (1-inch) cubes American cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Mix first 6 ingredients.
    Chill.
    Shape in 6 to 8 croquettes, shaping each around a cube of cheese.
    Roll in cracker meal. Saute in about 1-inch of hot fat until browned on all sides.
