Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
dash of salt
2 Tbsp. tapioca
6 c. sliced apples
1 to 3 tsp. lemon juice (depending on tartness of apples)
9-inch pie crust
Preparation

Combine first six ingredients; sprinkle lemon juice over apples, then add dry mixture; stir well.
Let sit for 5 minutes before putting in crust.
Cover with top crust, make slits to vent steam and brush lightly with milk.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then turn oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 35 to 40 minutes more, or until crust is browned and filling is bubbly.
