Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    sugar and cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs together thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture.
    Chill dough (if needed).
    Roll into balls about walnut size.
    Roll balls in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Should be soft.
