Supreme Old Southern Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 8 c. sliced peaches (fresh)
    2 c. sugar
    2 to 4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. almond extract (1/2 if you like)
    1/3 c. butter, melted
    pastry for 2 crusts
Preparation
    Combine peaches, sugar, flour and nutmeg; set aside until syrup forms.
    Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and almond extract.
    Cut pastry into 8-inch squares.
    Spoon 1/2 peaches into pan; top with 1 square.
    Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned.
    Remove from oven.
    Spoon rest of peaches on crust.
    Lattice with the rest of the crust.
    Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer, or until brown.
    (This is a good way to make cobbler with any fresh fruit.)
