Colonial Seed Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. poppy seed
3/4 c. milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine poppy seed and milk.
Let stand 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
Grease and flour a standard size loaf pan. Combine with seed and milk mixture the eggs (at room temperature) softened butter, sugar and vanilla.
