Gingerbread With Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 egg
1 c. light molasses
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

In a medium bowl, sift dry ingredients.
In a large bowl, beat wet ingredients until well combined.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until smooth.
Pour into a lightly greased and floured 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
