Chinese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or Crisco
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. shredded coconut
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Blend in egg.
    Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix in coconut, dates and nuts.
    Roll into walnut size balls; place on greased cookie sheet and press flat with fork.
    Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
