Aladdin Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    4 eggs, beaten (separate)
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla or orange extract
Preparation
    Blend sugar and butter; add egg yolks and vanilla.
    Sift flour and baking powder; add to sugar and egg mixture.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
