Ingredients

1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
4 Tbsp. cocoa
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cocoa. Stir in milk and melted shortening. Blend in chopped nuts.
Spread in a 9-inch square pan.
Sprinkle with mixture of brown sugar and cocoa.
Pour oven entire batter the hot water.
Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0. Invert squares of pudding on plates. Dip sauce from pan over each. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
