Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. coconut
3 1/2 c. Cool Whip
Preparation

Prepare cake mix as directed on package (13 x 9-inch pan). Cool for 15 minutes.
Poke holes through cake. Combine milk, sugar and 1/2 cup of coconut in saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer 1 minute. Spoon over warm cake.
Cool.
Fold 1/2 cup coconut into topping. Spread over cake.
Sprinkle remaining coconut on top. Chill overnight.
