Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of celery soup
1 can water
1 medium onion
Preparation

Salt and pepper pork chops.
Melt shortening and brown chops well on both sides.
Mix together soups and water.
Pour over chops.
Add sliced onion on top.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until chops are tender.
