Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda (mix with buttermilk)
    1 c. drained blackberries (unsweetened)
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 to 2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter, brown sugar and milk; bring to a boil.
    Add powdered sugar and mix until spreading consistency.
