Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
    Large pinch of salt
    2 c. raw peanuts with skins
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. pure vanilla
    1 hunk of butter (about 2 Tbsp.)
Preparation
    Prepare a cookie sheet greased with butter.
    Assemble all premeasured ingredients, gather all required utensils, including two pot holders, because when the candy reaches a certain point, one must work quickly!
