Apple Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    milk (to moisten)
    2 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 stick butter
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine the flour, shortening and milk to moisten.
    Roll out into a sheet.
    Spread with the chopped apples.
    Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over apples.
    Roll up, slice and place in a pan or dish in which the water, butter, white sugar and vanilla are boiling.
    Put in oven; bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
