Mom'S Peas And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. fresh or frozen peas
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 onion
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook peas in salted water with diced onion, butter, sugar and pepper until tender.
    Do not drain.
    Turn down to a slow boil and add dumpling mixture with spoon.
