Venison Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. flour, divided
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    5 lb. shoulder, chuck, leg or round roast of venison, fat trimmed off
    4 strips bacon
    1/4 c. butter, margarine or oil
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1/4 c. each: chili sauce and cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar or honey
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Mix 1 tablespoon flour, salt, mustard, chili powder and pepper.
    Rub well over meat.
    Reserve any excess.
    Place strips of bacon over meat and secure with picks.
