Brown Swiss Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 stick butter
2 c. frozen, chopped onion
2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans beef broth
1/2 c. water
2 envelopes brown gravy mix
slices of thick French bread
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan and add onion; cook until tender.
Add beef broth and water and bring to a boil.
Stir in brown gravy mix and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Divide into small ovenproof soup bowls.
Place a piece of French bread with Swiss cheese on top. Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 3 minutes.
