Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
5 egg yolks
5 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and sugar; add egg yolks.
Add flour and soda, alternating with buttermilk.
Add other ingredients except egg whites.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes in 3 greased and floured 8-inch pans.
