1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. soda
1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
