Lemon Crackers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 oz. baking ammonia
1 tsp. lemon oil
approximately 9 c. flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.
Add flavoring and eggs and continue to beat.
Dissolve ammonia in milk.
Sift salt and flour together and add alternately with milk.
Add only enough flour to make a medium soft dough.
Chill in refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
Roll 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 until golden brown.
Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
