1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. pineapple juice
5 slices pineapple
1 egg (unbeaten)
1 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. brown sugar
5 maraschino cherries
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine shortening and salt, then gradually add sugar.
Cream well.
Add egg and beat.
Sift flour and baking powder together, and then add to mixture.
