Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    2 oz. red food coloring
Preparation
    Cream the sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Sift flour, salt and cocoa together 3 times.
    Add to creamed mixture, along with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla and cake coloring.
    Fold in vinegar and soda (mixed in a cup until smooth).
    Bake in 3 layer pans at 350\u00b0 for about 20 minutes, or until done.
