Swiss Potato Soup(Serves 8 Cups) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 thick slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 c. minced onion
3 medium potatoes, pared and cubed
1 large turnip, pared and cubed
6 c. chicken broth
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp in Dutch oven.
Remove bacon.
Saute onion in bacon fat.
Add potatoes, turnip and broth; simmer until done.
Puree mixture in blender.
Return puree to Dutch oven; heat to boiling.
If desired, stir in sour cream.
