Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. raisins, cooked
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. jam
    6 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg, ground
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients together.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Reserve 2 cups of dough for the icing.
