1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
Preparation

Heat oven to 375.
Mix sugar, the butter, vanilla, almond extract and egg in large bowl with spoon.
Stir in flour baking powder and salt.
Divide dough into halves.
Shape 1 half into 2 strips, 15 x 3 inches, 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake until golden, approximately 7 to 9 minutes; cool 2 minutes.
Cut crosswise into 1-inch slices; drizzle with glaze.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Store loosely covered. Makes about five dozen cookies.
