Spicy Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. cut up dried prunes
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. Quaker oats (uncooked)
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Pour boiling water over oats and prunes, stirring to combine; cover and let stand 20 minutes.
    Beat margarine until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating until fluffy.
    Stir in egg.
    Add oats and prune mixture, mixing well. Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch baking pan.
    Bake in preheated oven (350\u00b0) for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Cool.
