Rutabaga(Northern Turnips) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. rutabagas
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. pepper
    1/2 c. margarine or bacon drippings
Preparation
    Peel and slice rutabagas and place in saucepan.
    Cover and cook over medium heat about 1 hour.
    Drain in colander.
    Add 1/2 cup margarine or bacon drippings.
    Mash and serve hot.
    Serves 8.
