Microwaved Cauliflower Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cauliflower (about 1 lb.)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Remove outer leaves from cauliflower and trim stem close to base.
    Wash and place cauliflower on a 9-inch pie plate.
    Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on High 6 to 8 minutes.
    Let stand while making cheese sauce.
    Melt butter 1 minute on High.
    Blend in flour and seasonings.
    Stir in milk and microwave on High 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring every minute.
    Add cheese and stir to blend.
    Place cauliflower on serving plate and pour sauce over top.
    Serve at once.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
