Ingredients

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour (plain)
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa (regular type, dry)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa (regular type, dry)
1 3/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Sift first 5 ingredients; add milk, oil and vanilla.
Mix until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
