Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small chickens
    salt and pepper
    melted butter
    1 c. chicken gravy, cream or undiluted canned mushroom or chicken soup
Preparation
    Cut chicken in pieces for serving.
    Put in a casserole and sprinkle with salt, pepper and melted butter.
    Add boiling water until one inch deep.
    Cover.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until tender (1 hour or more).
    Pour over the chicken 1 cup chicken gravy or undiluted canned mushroom or chicken soup.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Season to taste.
    Serves 4 or 5.
