Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large cucumbers
    4 onions
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Chop cucumbers and onions.
    Sprinkle salt over and let set overnight.
    Drain.
    Add all but celery seed and boil for 20 minutes.
    Add celery seed and boil 5 minutes more.
    Add green food coloring (11 drops) and seal.
    Makes 5 to 6 pints.
