Mom And Dad'S Favorite! "Egg Custard" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add milk and heat to scalding.
    Beat eggs.
    Add sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Stir into milk.
    Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 10 minutes longer.
