Chili Con Queso Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, minced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. canned tomatoes, drained and chopped
    2 (4 oz.) cans Old El Paso green chili peppers, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender, add tomatoes, chili peppers, salt and pepper and simmer about 15 minutes.
    Blend sour cream and cream cheese into mixture.
    To serve, keep warm over hot water or crock-pot on low.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
