Soft Ginger Cake(Gingerbread) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 lb. butter
2 c. molasses
1 oz. ginger
1/2 oz. cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. rose water
1 oz. brandy
raisins and currants to taste
Preparation

Soften butter; beat in sugar.
Add molasses; beat well.
Sift dry ingredients into flour.
Reserve enough flour to coat raisins and currants.
