Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. oysters
    2 qt. milk
    1/2 pt. cream
    1/4 lb. butter
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. \"Meet-E-Tone\" or Kitchen Bouquet
Preparation
    Heat milk and cream in a double boiler until hot, stirring constantly.
    Add butter, salt, pepper and \"Meet-E-Tone.\"
    Drop oysters into pot and allow stew to simmer for 5 minutes.
    Stir again and serve in deep bowls with a pat of butter.
    Makes 6 servings.
