Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads cabbage
    6 green tomatoes
    6 half-ripe tomatoes
    6 onions
    8 pods sweet pepper (4 green and 4 red)
    3 hot peppers
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop cabbage, peppers, onions and tomatoes.
    Salt and let stand 3 hours, then press or drain.
    Cook in sugar and vinegar for 20 minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
