Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large chopped onion
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. dried basil
    3/4 tsp. dried oregano
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.
    Drain.
    Add next eight ingredients; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Ready to serve.
    Makes 1 quart.
