Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. small whole cucumbers
    1 onion, sliced
    1 red pepper, seeded and chopped
    1/8 c. salt
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    pinch of turmeric
    1 tsp. white mustard seed
    1 tsp. horseradish
    vinegar
Preparation
    Mix together cucumbers, onion and red pepper.
    Cover with salt. Let stand overnight.
    In morning, drain and wash off salt.
    Add sugar, turmeric, mustard seed and horseradish.
    Cover with vinegar and heat to boiling point.
    Turn into clean jars and seal.
    Makes 2 pints.
