Pickled Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. salt
    6 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. dill
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 hot red peppers, cut into halves
    2 tsp. ground red pepper
    12 c. okra pods
Preparation
    Combine vinegar, water, salt, garlic, dill, mustard, celery seed, red peppers and ground red pepper in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
    Combine okra and water to cover in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil; drain.
    Pack okra pods tightly into 6 hot, sterilized pint jars.
    Place 1/2 red pepper from vinegar mixture in each jar.
    Pour vinegar mixture over okra, leaving 1/2-inch headspace; seal with 2-piece lids.
    Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
    Yield:
    24 servings.
