Skillet Smothered Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 c. cooking oil (bacon drippings preferred)
1/2 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Heat oil (or drippings) in skillet over medium fire.
Add onions, potatoes, salt and pepper.
Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally until all potatoes are browned.
Add water to potatoes, reduce heat and cover.
Cook again, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
