Turtle Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    30 caramels, quartered
    1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk in heavy 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil 5 minutes over medium heat or until thermometer reaches 234\u00b0, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
    Remove from heat.
    Add chocolate pieces and stir until melted.
    Add remaining ingredients and heat until well blended.
    Pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cool at room temperature and cut into squares. Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
