Sausage A La Russe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Italian hot sausage
    1 onion, minced
    1/2 green pepper, minced
    1 1/4 c. canned tomatoes or tomato juice
    1 c. raw elbow macaroni
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. plain yogurt or sour cream
    pepper to taste
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Brown sausage meat and pour off extra fat.
    Add onion and green pepper and cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, macaroni and sugar.
    Bring to boil.
    Be sure macaroni is under liquid.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stir occasionally.
    Stir in yogurt or sour cream, heat and add pepper to taste.
    Sprinkle with parsley. Serves 4.
