Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. canning salt
    4 1/2 c. water
    4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Simmer
    all
    ingredients about 15 minutes.
    Pack pickles in jar with 1 head of dill plus several stems.
    A chili pepper in each
    jar adds to flavor.
    Pour liquid mixture over pickles and bring
    to
    boil
    5 to 7 minutes, until all green color has changed.
    (Garlic may be added.)
